[Properties]
Colorless or white quicksand-like crystal powder with strong acid odor, specific gravity: 2.08, soluble in water and insoluble in alcohol; absorb moisture and release hydrogen fluoride in moist air, decompose to sodium fluoride and hydrogen fluoride if being heated to 160°C; aluminum or aluminum alloy has anticorrosion function to sodium hydrogenfluoride under high temperature, its aqueous solution can corrode glass, toxic.

[Uses]
It is used as protective agent for food, conserving agent and antiseptic agent for animal specimen and dissection specimen; also used in glass etching, tintype making, textile treatment, rust removing and the production of tin plate, etc.
