[Properties]
Colorless crystal powder, soluble in alcohol and water. Its type of crystal include: α-type and α-type; β-type is equiaxial crystal, while α-type is trimorphism, stable in air. α-type can transform into β-type if heated for a long time. Density(β-type): 2.011g/cm2; density(α-type): 2.152g/cm2; solubility in water: 18.5(25°C).
[Uses]
It is used as mothproofing agent, disinfectant in brewing industry, etching agent for glass, anti-moth agent for textiles. It is also used in metal casting, electroplating, extracting potassium from greensand, producing cryolite and ammonium chlorate, etc.
